Services
-
A speech therapy evaluation looks at how your child communicates, including the sounds they make, how they use language, and how they understand others. It also considers attention, social skills, and how they interact in different situations. This holistic approach helps build on your child’s strengths and identify areas where support can improve their everyday communication.
-
Treatment sessions can take place in your home, virtually, or in a community setting. Sessions are centered around building communication skills through child-led or structured and engaging activities that match your child’s interests and developmental level. Each session targets your child’s goals in a way that feels natural, motivating, and supportive.

FAQs
How do you evaluate my child’s speech and language skills?
I use a comprehensive approach to evaluate your child’s communication. This includes observing how they speak and listen, understanding their ability to use language, and noting their attention and social interaction. I may use standardized tests, play-based activities, and parent interviews to get a full picture of their strengths and needs.
How do you tailor therapy to my child’s specific needs?
Every child is unique, so I customize therapy based on your child’s individual strengths, challenges, interests, and family goals. I use data from the evaluation, family interviews, observations, and ongoing progress to select activities and strategies that best support your child’s communication development in ways that feel meaningful and motivating.
How do I know if my child needs speech therapy?
If your child has difficulty being understood, struggles to use words or sentences, or shows challenges with understanding or expressing language, speech therapy might help. Other signs include difficulty making certain sounds, trouble following directions, or challenges with social communication. A professional evaluation can provide clarity and guidance.
What does a typical speech therapy session look like?
Each session is designed to focus on your child’s unique goals. They often include play-based intervention, interest-led activities, and plenty of practice that encourage your child to use and understand language in a natural way. Sessions may involve play, speech exercises, and strategies to improve communication skills in a supportive environment.
How do you support individuals with dementia?
I work closely with individuals living with dementia and their families to provide practical memory and communication strategies that make daily life easier and more meaningful. Through personalized sessions, I teach caregivers how to understand the changes dementia brings and offer tools to improve connection, reduce frustration, and support independence. My goal is to empower families with confidence and effective approaches to enhance quality of life for everyone involved.
